At dawn on 12 October 1982 people in nine South Korean cities at once saw a bus-sized glowing body with a long silent tail moving east, and more than 90 called papers and police. The Korean and U.S. air forces said nothing was training and radar saw nothing. A rocket plume would fit, but no launch that night is on record.
