The Naha lights

At about 9 p.m. on 23 January 2014 several orange and yellow lights hung in the sky west of Naha, Okinawa, for about fifteen minutes. A video of them drew about 1.4 million views; experts quoted in the press ruled out an astronomical cause, and both the U.S. Air Force and Japan's Air Self-Defense Force said they were not training. Asked in the Diet a month later, Defense Minister Onodera said he was aware of the many reports.
