On 20 August 1970 a Yugoslav two-seat MiG-21 was vectored by radar to a large glowing object at about 22,000 m over Plaški. It could not close even at supersonic speed, and the object pulled away and vanished from radar at the same time. The pilot, later a colonel and military attaché, says the Air Force set up an office for pilots' UFO reports in the 1980s.
