Cristina Gomez: Kirkpatrick says resolved AARO cases were released as 'unresolved'
Cristina Gomez's recap, uploaded 2 November 2026, of Sean Kirkpatrick's remarks to Fox News. He says AARO resolved many of the cases later published in the PURSUE files and briefed several to Congress with the answers attached, and that Pentagon leadership then told AARO to strip the resolution language and release them as 'unresolved' to let people make up their own minds. He named no officials and gave no date; he left AARO in December 2023. A Department of War official told Fox the releases carry no assessments by design. The department also confirmed that the images released with the June 2026 federal agents' black triangle report are illustrations, and Gomez notes that AARO's memo gives more than 30 seconds of activity against about 3 seconds in the FBI account.

- Kirkpatrick's definitions: 'unresolved' means no or insufficient data; 'unidentified' means data exist but the object is not known.
