Reality Check Rewind: Mark Rodeghier (CUFOS) on Roswell, Bill Rickett and close encounters

Ross Coulthart interviews Mark Rodeghier, scientific director of the Center for UFO Studies. Rodeghier recounts his own interview with former CIC agent Bill Rickett near Tampa, with Rickett's wife present, about being shown tough, feather-light debris at the Roswell site by Sheridan Cavitt and told 'we didn't leave the base today'. He calls the debris story 'rock solid' and the body stories weak, says he helped discredit Glenn Dennis and Frank Kaufmann, and says the Mogul explanation cannot match the flight records. He also discusses the Coyne helicopter case and the decline of close encounters since the late 1970s.
