The physics of ionized gases, from fusion reactors to astrophysical reconnection. Nuno Loureiro, MIT's fusion center director, was shot dead in Dec 2025, which seeded the 'fusion suppression' theory. AAWSAP commissioned three fusion DIRDs, and older 'free energy martyr' lore gives the theory its shape.
