Kansas City National Security Campus (NNSA, Honeywell FM&T), New Mexico Operations
The NNSA plant that makes most non-nuclear parts of US nuclear weapons, run by Honeywell FM&T. Its Albuquerque arm handles secure-transport trailers, emergency response and depot work. Steven Garcia was a property custodian there and has been missing since 28 Aug 2025. Igor's list wrongly calls him a LANL nuclear engineer.
On the record
- NM Operations founded 1964 under the Atmospheric Nuclear Testing Readiness program; now part of KCNSC.
- Seven NM facilities, three on Kirtland AFB; staff projected to exceed 500 by 2028.
- Garcia was a property custodian at KCNSC's Albuquerque operation, not LANL.
- He walked from his SW Albuquerque home with a handgun on 28 Aug 2025. APD leads; FBI offered help.
