NASA Marshall Space Flight Center

NASA's propulsion center, with about 6,000 staff. In 1995 to 2002 it funded antigravity tests with Ning Li and a Podkletnov-style disk, which Science called 'NASA's fling with anti-gravity'. Joshua LeBlanc worked on its nuclear propulsion projects before dying in a burning Tesla in 2025, and Amy Eskridge's father was an MSFC engineer. Huntsville is the second hub of the story after Albuquerque.

On the record

  • Science (1996): 'NASA's fling with anti-gravity'.
  • Physica C 281 (1997), Li, Noever, Robertson, Koczor and Brantley: null static gravity test.
  • Robertson, NASA MSFC, 1999: 'On the Mechanism for a Gravity Effect using Type 2 Superconductors'.
  • LeBlanc's Tesla left the road, hit trees and burned near Empire, AL on 22 Jul 2025; ALEA release.
  • DARPA closed out DRACO in Jun 2025; NASA's FY2026 request had no nuclear propulsion funding.
