Alan Bean
Apollo 12 lunar module pilot and later painter. On the Apollo 12 transcript (war.gov NASA-UAP-D001, 05:19:27:25) he describes flashes of light 'escaping the Moon'. He repeatedly described the lunar sky as shiny black like 'patent leather' (Discover 1994, the Guardian, his book Apollo), and his 1984 painting of Apollo 14 shows reflective specks in the sky.
