Ray Bowyer
Capt. Raymond Anthony 'Ray' Bowyer flew for Aurigny Air Services for about 8.5 years on the Channel Islands routes, with 18 years' flying in all. On 23 April 2007, at the controls of Trislander flight 544, he reported two brilliant yellow cigar-shaped objects west of Alderney live to Jersey ATC and filed a CAA Air Safety Report with a drawing. He has since told the story under his own name: in Leslie Kean's 2010 book, on television in 2008 and 2014, and to The Times in 2021, where his size estimates grew and he argued for two solid craft.
