Lights of the samaúma: Vernet's station with the Yawanawá in Acre (Brazil, 2025)

- A named engineer with a sensor station reports orbs, a sphere invisible to his drone camera, a paralysed boy, electronics failures and a 1.6 GHz signal.
- About 20 Yawanawá describe the same lights; the raw data is promised, not yet published.
Brazilian electronics engineer Rony Vernet, founder of UAP Brazil, spent several nights in 2025 with the Yawanawá people in Acre near the Peru border and built a sensor station 20 minutes' walk from the village. He says orange orbs came and went at treetop height toward the west, a red-orange sphere hovered within metres of him and two youths yet did not show on his drone camera from 1-2 m away, a luminous fog formed a hand pointing west while a boy was paralysed for a minute and electronics failed, and he logged a 1.6 GHz signal. About 20 Yawanawá describe the same lights coming and going toward the samaúma, their sacred tree. The station now streams to Rio over Starlink, and he plans to publish the data.

How plausible · Moderate
A named engineer, on site with instruments, reports objects his drone camera could not record, a paralysed boy and a 1.6 GHz signal, with villagers describing the same lights; the raw data is promised but not yet out.
- ●●Access He was there, metres from the sphere, with his own instruments.
- ●○Cost of speaking Named and on national TV with a professional reputation as an engineer.
- ●○No gain sought Part-funded by Coulthart's NHI Research Institute; modest gain.
- ●○Restraint Says his other sensors were not yet logging; promises data rather than conclusions.
- ●○Character record UFRJ-trained engineer at Petrobras; co-author of the 2025 UAP assessment matrix paper.
- ●○Independent convergence Two youths were with him at the sphere and about 20 villagers describe similar lights, but none is named on air.
Plausibility weighs how well an account fits where secrecy hides the documents by design, so missing records never count against it. Strength measures what is documented. Assessed 2026-10-27.
