Segala's sensors: 600 correlated events

In their own words
“I am telling you last night was such a crazy night. If I were to ever say I was abducted it would have been last night.”
Physicist Jim Segala began investigating unexplained injuries around Skinwalker Ranch. He concluded they came from outside the body, so they could be measured, and from 2018 he put sensor units, which he calls MUAS (sold as MUPAS), beside the beds and homes of more than 35 people in the Uinta Basin. The units log RF, microwave, gamma, magnetic and acceleration readings, while the participants keep journals without ever seeing the data. Segala counts about 600 times when several channels spiked within seconds of a reported orb, sighting or night visitor. In case 316 a woman wrote, 'If I were to ever say I was abducted it would have been last night'. At that moment her sensors showed 22 times normal gamma and 10 times normal microwave. Segala says the model now predicts events, good and bad, at 4.8 sigma.
How plausible · Moderate
A named physicist reports about 600 sensor spikes matched to participants' logs; the data and papers are not yet out, though NCIS and the FBI asked for it.
- ●●Access He ran the sensors.
- ●○Cost of speaking Named physicist.
- ●○No gain sought Research.
- ●○Restraint Methodology papers announced, not results claimed.
- ●○Character record Physicist.
- ●○Independent convergence NCIS and FBI interest.
- −Lone source, no corroboration No independent check yet.
Plausibility weighs how well an account fits where secrecy hides the documents by design, so missing records never count against it. Strength measures what is documented. Assessed 2026-10-23.
On the record
- Coulthart interview, Reality Check Rewind (NewsNation; original air date not established): the 600 events, 35+ participants, case 316 and 4.8 sigma, from Segala's slides.
- Good Trouble Show (15 March 2026): Phase 1 ran three years with 36 participants at 4.5 sigma; Phase 2 has more than 400 participants; methodology papers 'soon'.
- Post Apocalyptic Media (17 January 2024): a three-year double-blind study in 37 homes; gamma spikes accompanied reported activity.
- MUPAS Worldwide LLC (Jim and Barbara Segala, Charles Holt) sells units and describes 'an IRB-governed research programme'.
