Evidenceofficial records

A Defence Ministry report released in January 1980 named three 1977 sightings by professionals: an F-104G pilot who followed a brilliant object for 375 km, three Naples-Capodichino tower staff who saw two bright circular objects, and a Pisa controller who watched a light for two hours. None of them appears in the Air Force's published dossier, though the minister told Parliament in 2014 that the whole archive was declassified.
