The Indo-Pacific files are full of infrared footage: a sphere dipping in and out of clouds over the Yellow Sea in January 2023, a 'line' of several objects drifting across the South China Sea, and in 2025 an object 'resembling a six-pointed star' tracked over the Yellow Sea. Most come from U.S. surveillance aircraft watching China's coast, some of the most heavily monitored airspace on Earth.
