• The Fox report exists, and all of its sources are anonymous.
• I found no published text of a directive, and no White House statement or Truth Social post about it.
• The ODNI memo of 31 July (lead 2) refers to "Presidential Direction" and "the President's order". That is official confirmation that a directive exists, but its text and date are not public.
