The 1933 Magenta, Italy UFO Crash
Gerb's case file on Magenta, the 1933 crash Grusch named as the first US recovery. The core is Roberto Pinotti's 1996 "Mr X" documents: three Stefani telegrams of 13 June 1933 ordering silence and then calling the craft a meteor, an RS/33 cover note, and a nine-step recovery protocol. Pinotti had the paper and ink tested and found them period-correct. Gerb adds 1936 Mestre notes, Petacco's identification of "De Santis" as Col. Tommaso David, and Elizondo's statement that he saw validated documentation "from Mussolini himself". The Vatican and OSS handover rests on Grusch and Christopher Sharp.
On the record
- Pinotti's document set exists and its paper and ink were tested as period-correct.
- Period newspapers report lightning and hail at Magenta in June 1933.
Open questions
- Who was Mr X, and where are the originals?
- What did Elizondo see, and is it the same document set?
