John Seiberling
U.S. Representative from Ohio (1971–1987) who chaired the House Interior subcommittee on public lands. At the 1984 hearings on the Air Force's seizure of land around Groom Lake he asked by what authority it had been done; by George Knapp's account the answer was an authority 'much, much higher' than the Air Force.
