Karl Pflock

Former CIA intelligence officer (1966-72) and UFO researcher who died in June 2006. His 2000 article 'A New Twist on Aztec' (The Anomalist) called the Aztec crash a hoax, but described Silas Newton's own handwritten testament saying government representatives had visited Newton, which puts an agency behind the story either way.
