  • Firsthand: ordered to destroy Apollo images; kept 10x8 prints; saw details painted out of lunar images.

Says he managed Data and Photo Control at NASA's Lunar Receiving Laboratory in the Apollo era. He has said publicly, under his name, that he was ordered to destroy Apollo images, kept a set of 10x8 prints, and saw technicians he calls 'strippers' paint details out of lunar images. James Oberg reviewed his prints in 2016 and found nothing extraordinary.
