In spring 1977, as special counsel to the Congressional Research Service study for President Carter, he was shown classified Project Blue Book microfiche in the basement of the Madison Building. Black-and-white photos showed a crashed domed saucer about 40-50 ft across, tilted at 45 degrees in a snowy embankment, with Air Force men in fur-hooded parkas filming it. He traced 8 to 10 unknown symbols onto the cardboard back of his yellow pad, which the guards searched and missed.Reality Check Rewind: Daniel Sheehan on the first Reality Checkthread/bluebookfirsthandSourced, unconfirmedDaniel Sheehan
