BAASS Summary Report on UAP Analysis Capabilities (23 November 2010)
A 141-page summary that BAASS wrote for the DIA Defense Warning Office in November 2010, describing what its AAWSAP team could do: field kits, an engineering simulation server and the Capella data warehouse of 11 databases. Its centrepiece is the 2004 Nimitz 'Tic Tac', quoted from a DIA-personnel investigation, including DIA's own Key Assessments that the object was no known US or foreign vehicle, was hard to see on radar across several bands, had no visible means of lift and may have been able to 'cloak'. BAASS adds its own kinematics: about Mach 10.7 and 75 g.

Overview
- Primary text: DIA's own Key Assessments on the Nimitz encounter are now in an official release.
- Kinematics: a 60,000 ft descent in 5 s gives about Mach 10.7 and 75 g.
- Warehouse: 11 databases, including a 'Post-Utah Ranch Effects Database' for the hitchhiker cases.
On the record
- DOW-UAP-D175, 141 pages, 23 November 2010, contract HHM402-08-C-0072.
- Field kit: Canon 5D, HD video, seven PVS-7 night-vision devices, thermal monocular, rangefinders, an XRF analyser, a dose-rate meter and counter-surveillance gear.
- CFD studies of Tic Tac and cylinder shapes, acoustics of a spherical USO, radar cross-section of a coated sphere.
- USS Louisville reported no sonar contacts; DIA called undersea operation 'highly unlikely' on that basis while listing it as possible.
Open questions
- Is this the same capability analysis George Knapp describes as 143 pages, or a separate document?
