From Rep. Eric Burlison's account of his ODNI briefing (Dr. Phil, 15 Oct 2026): ODNI, CIA, FBI and Department of War intelligence people on site at a western range as three or four dozen glowing orbs appear. White Sands is the alleged site, not confirmed; the people, vehicles, cameras and orb trails are imagined. · Illustration for uaptrail.com

In late 2025 a senior U.S. intelligence official rode a helicopter over a sensitive southwestern test facility and watched glowing orbs close in, one within ten feet, two just above the rotor, others pacing military jets. The same day a government office completed a 'successful test' there. Rep. Eric Burlison was later briefed on a staged 'perfect case scenario' that was 'very successful'; Jordan Flowers called it an ODNI luring operation; Ross Coulthart's sources say Trump authorised shoot-downs and that craft were downed in the U.S. and near Juárez. Meanwhile the LOCUST counter-drone laser was fired near El Paso and tested at White Sands. Asked directly, the Department of War referred the question to the White House, which acknowledged it and never answered.

On the record

  • The FBI 302 'USPER Statement about UAP Sighting' and 24 FBI images (PURSUE release 1, 8 May 2026), and ODNI-UAP-D001, the senior official's helicopter narrative (release 2, 22 May 2026), including the 'successful test' line. Location and date are redacted.
  • The Department of War to Liberation Times: 'We refer you to the White House regarding any orders, directives, or authorization issues by President Trump.' The White House asked for a deadline on 22 September 2026, then gave no answer.
  • LOCUST (AeroVironment, first developed by Applied Technology Associates in Albuquerque): its AMP-HEL version was fired by CBP near Fort Bliss before the 10-11 February 2026 El Paso closure; FAA and JIATF-401 tested it at White Sands on 7-8 March 2026; Hegseth fired one there on 23 June 2026; a $464.8M Army LOCUST X3 contract followed on 2 September 2026.El Paso airspace
  • A military laser downed a CBP drone at Fort Hancock on 26 February 2026 (joint DoD, CBP and FAA statement).El Paso airspace
  • Retired Maj. Gen. Neil McCasland, former technology director at ATA, has been missing since 27 February 2026. The sheriff says there is no evidence of a UAP link.
  • An air ambulance hit the Capitan Mountains near Ruidoso on 14 May 2026 while White Sands testing was jamming GPS (NTSB preliminary).
