Lockheed Martin Skunk Works

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works

The legendary advanced projects division behind the U-2, SR-71 and F-117. Its former director Ben Rich is said to have told an audience in 1993, 'We now have the technology to take ET home.' Lockheed also builds the Aegis SPY-1 radar that tracked the Tic Tac objects from the USS Princeton in 2004. Researchers frequently name Lockheed as the likeliest corporate home of reverse-engineering work, and To The Stars recruited former Skunk Works engineer Steve Justice.

On the record

  • Steve Justice's role at To The Stars.
  • Lockheed's Aegis SPY-1 radar on the USS Princeton tracked the 2004 Nimitz objects.
  • Scientists research: Lockheed's classified aircraft shop behind the U-2, SR-71, F-117 and RQ-170. Macheret managed its plasma programs from 2006 to 2014, and while there he wrote AAWSAP DIRD 33 as one of three Lockheed authors. In UFO lore, Skunk Works is the most named suspect for reverse-engineering, and two of its people joined DeLonge's circle.
  • Three of the 38 DIRDs were by Lockheed Martin staff (Teofilo, Golightly, Macheret), all in the FY2010 batch.
  • DIRD 33 shows a 'proof-of-concept experiment being investigated by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics'.
  • Macheret patent US 8,916,795, 'Plasma actuated vortex generators', assigned to Lockheed Martin.
  • Lockheed's Skunk Works announced a Compact Fusion Reactor effort in 2014.
  • Steve Justice left Skunk Works to lead TTSA's aerospace division in 2017.
  • GAO testimony of 24 July 1986 on Lockheed's special-access document control.
  • A 1953 sighting by Lockheed pilots and ground crew was filed with Blue Book.
